A Chicago man has been convicted of Attempted Homicide in a stabbing incident outside a Fond du Lac apartment complex. A Fond du Lac jury found 48 year old Lataye Smith guilty of Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon with a domestic violence enhancer. A heater is being blamed for a fire that significantly damaged an attached garage in Waupun. Shortly before 2:30pm Sunday firefighters responded to 811 West Jefferson Street and quickly brought the fire under control before it could spread to the house. Nobody was injured.
