8-15-24 careless use of smoking materials to blame for fdl apartment fire

Nobody was injured in a fire that caused minor damage to a Fond du Lac apartment. Firefighters were called to the scene at 175 South National Avenue early Wednesday morning to find smoke coming from the apartment. The fire was in a plastic garbage container and quickly extinguished. The fire was caused by improper discarding of smoking materials.
