7-23-24 qb jordan love won’t be practicing with packers with contract situation unsettled

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Jordan Love won’t be practicing with the Green Bay Packers as long as the quarterback’s negotiations on a contract extension remain unresolved, general manager Brian Gutekunst said Monday.  Gutekunst said Love reported to camp last week but wouldn’t be working out until a deal is reached. 7-22-24 two people arrested following high speed chase in fdl

Two people from Green Bay are in custody following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac County in a stolen vehicle. The chase started in Winnebago County and continued into Fond du Lac on Lakeshore Drive where the vehicle nearly struck another vehicle head on. The chase ended when the vehicle struck a tree on Morningside Drive. The male driver and female passenger exited the vehicle and were arrested. […]

7-22-24 more layoffs at mercury marine

More layoffs at Fond du Lac county’s largest employer. Mercury Marine has announced 1700 partial layoffs for the rest of the year as the company deals with declining sales. The layoffs will affect hourly employees.  The company says it will shut down manufacturing for roughly six weeks between now and the end of the year.  Last month Merc announced the layoff of 300 workers.

No horses were injured in a fire that destroyed a horse storage shed at a Fond du Lac County campground. Shortly after 5:30pm Saturday firefighters were called to the Breezy Hill campground in the town of Byron to find smoke and flames coming from the roof.
