7-1-24 three injured in motorcycle crash in fdl county

Three people were injured, one seriously, when two motorcycles crashed after one hit a deer in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened shortly before 8 pm Sunday on Highway 45 near Gatzke Lane in the town of Auburn. 7-1-24 11 people injured when escalator malfunctions at brewers’ ballpark

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Eleven people were injured when an escalator malfunctioned at American Family Field in Milwaukee following the Brewers’ loss to the Chicago Cubs. The issue occurred Saturday. Brewers' spokesperson Tyler Barnes says six people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and five others were treated at the ballpark. 7-1-24 garage fire-fdl county

photo: fdl fire and rescue Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a garage in Fond du Lac. Shortly before 1:30am Sunday firefighters were called to 567 county highway k to find the garage fully engulfed in flames. A pickup next to the garage, and vehicle and trailer in the garage were also destroyed. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

7-1-24 lomira man charged in connection with domestic violent incident

A Lomira man was arrested following a violent domestic incident in the village of Lomira and stand-off with police. The victim was able to safely escape but the suspect  refused to exit the residence.   Deputies established a perimeter on the residence during the investigation. 7-1-24 estranged husband of missing clyman woman arrested

The estranged husband of a missing Dodge County woman has been arrested.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says 42 year old  Zacariah Rasch of rural Clyman was arrested after detectives learned he had made numerous transactions on Crystal Rasch's financial accounts without consent.  He made his initial Dodge County Circuit court appearance Friday on a charge of  unauthorized use of an individual’s personal identifying information.   Bail was set at $250,000 cash.  Meanwhile Schmidt says the […]

7-1-24 flood clean-up continues in waupun

Clean up continues in Waupun after more than a half foot of rain last weekend flooded streets and basements.   City administrator Kathy Schlieve says a week later things are slowly getting back to normal.  Schlieve says basement flooding was widespread throughout the community.  Schlieve says residents continued to haul flood damaged items to dumpsters at the city garage through at least the weekend.

Waupun area residents didn't let rain Friday night put a damper on the 12th annual Celebrate Waupun over the weekend.  The event started Friday and continued through Sunday at Tanner Park.  The event featured carnival rides and games, food and drinks, music, face painting, ax throwing and fireworks show Sunday night.
