The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has been busy responding to numerous vehicle run offs as a winter storm moves north through Wisconsin. Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says motorists need to slow down. Olig says in a one hour stretch between 1pm and 2pm Tuesday there were at least nine runoffs on Highway 41 north of Fond du Lac.
Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a NFDL business. Firefighters from NFDL and FDL were called to the Dollar General store on Prospect Avenue around 8am Tuesday. Fond du Lac Fire Chief Pete O'Leary says the fire was reported by an employee after he showed up for work. The fire was extinguished in less than a hour. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
