The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says area lakes are not entirely safe despite the recent cold snap. Last week two men had to be rescued on Lake Poygan. A Brownsville man was arrested following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac over the weekend. The chase started shortly before 4:30am Saturday on West 9th Street near the Aquatic Center and continued on South Military Road with speeds near 90 miles an hour. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Four Wisconsin Walmart stores will shut down this month as part of the wave of closures announced by the retail giant. The affected stores in the state are a Walmart in Milwaukee and Neighborhood Markets in Menomonee Falls, Waukesha and Wauwatosa. The company says on its website that the Wisconsin stores will close January 28th.
