EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Several museums in Great Lakes states are holding events for the 40th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald sinking.  The 729-foot iron ore carrier went down on November 10th, 1975, in Lake Superior. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Senate has passed a bill that would dissolve the state elections board. The GOP measure would dismantle the Government Accountability Board, which oversees elections and enforces ethics law. 11-9-15 inmate who attacked waupun correctional officer faces attempted homicide charges

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is requesting attempted first degree Intentional homicide charges against an inmate who attacked a correctional officer at the Waupun prison.  Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the inmate, 46 year old Bobby Kimble, attacked the 26 year old female officer on Friday October 30th.    She was transported to the hospital where she was treated and released.  Schmidt says the investigation is ongoing.
