TOWN OF SHERMAN, Wis. (AP) — Sheriff's officials say a pedestrian has been struck and killed on a highway in Sheboygan County. The person was hit on Highway 57 in the Town of Sherman, near Random Lake about 6 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities say the person died at the scene. No one else was hurt.

The Dodge County Sheriff says an inmate who attacked a correctional Officer at the Waupun prison last Friday has been transferred to another correctional institution.
