10-29-15 roofing contractor from fdl gets jail

A Fond du Lac roofing contractor convicted of ripping off a disabled veteran will spend some time in jail.  Forty year old Daniel Steiner was convicted in Outagamie County of theft by contractor.  Judge Nancy Krueger placed Steiner on five years probation with eight months in jail.  The judge also ordered that Steiner pay $15,000 in restitution including more than $11,000 to a disabled veteran and his wife.
