MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A bill that would legalize blaze pink hunting gear has cleared its first legislative hurdle.  The Assembly's natural resources committee approved the measure on a 14-1 vote Wednesday. 10-28-15 state assembly passes civil service changes

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin state Assembly has passed a bill making it easier to hire and fire state workers.  The measure passed Tuesday now heads to the Senate, which is not expected to take it up until early next year.  The bill makes a number of changes to the state's 110-year-old civil service system covering about 30,000 workers.  Changes include doing away with a required civil service exam, […]

The Marian University Board of Trustees announced today that it has appointed Andrew P. Manion, Ph.D., as the 16th president of the university, effective on or before March 30, 2016. 10-28-15 domestic violence enforcement detail

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office recently conducted a special enforcement detail to round up people wanted on various domestic violence related charges.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the National Family Violence Apprehention Detail is desgined to serve domestic violence warrants and promote community awareness.  Schmidt says deputies and local participating agencies conducted 44 arrest warrant service attempts and were able to arrest five individuals.
