10-27-15 ripon man sentenced in counterfeit scam

A Ripon man convicted in a counterfeiting scam is going to prison.  The U.S. Department of Justice says 52 year old Robert James Zoellner was sentenced to a year and a half in federal prison and three years of extended supervision. 10-27-15 fdl school board approves budget

The Fond du Lac School Board has adopted a 2016 budget.  The budget includes a tax rate that has been reduced to $9.88 cents per thousand dollars of property v alue.  Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says increased property values helped reduce the tax rate.  Forty one students are leaving the district under the state’s private school voucher program costing the district a preliminary estimate of $379,000.   Sebert says the […]

10-27-15 fdl man sentenced to prison for child enticement

A Fond du Lac man convicted of child enticement is going to prison.  Fond du Lac judge Gary Sharpe sentenced Gerald Devoe to a year and six months in prison and five years extended supervision.  Devoe earlier pleaded no contest to one count of child enticement with sexual contact.

(AP) — Republican Attorney General Brad Schimel has asked the state Supreme Court to decide whether he must release training videos featuring him making what Democrats allege are inappropriate comments.  The videos were made in 2009 and 2013 when Schimel was Waukesha County district attorney.
