MILWAUKEE (AP) — A female orangutan has died at Milwaukee County Zoo. The zoo says the orangutan, named MJ, died Monday of unknown causes. She was 35 years old. The zoo says preliminary reports indicate the orangutan had chronic health issues, but none of those appeared to be a single cause of death.

A man accused of killing a toddler by standing on top of the child has pleaded not guilty. Daniel Griffin entered the plea at an arraignment hearing in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court.
