9-14-15 fdl man bound over for trial in nail salon gun incident

9-12-15 wmc opposes fetal tissue research bill

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin's largest business lobby is opposing a bill to ban research on tissue from aborted fetuses, saying it would impede medical research.  The president of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, Kurt Bauer says his group appreciates that backers of the bill narrowed its scope this week, but opposes it nonetheless.  The WMC's position further clouds the future of the legislation, which key Republicans hope to pass this fall. 9-11-15 fdl man convicted in armed stand-off

A Fond du Lac man involved in an armed domestic standoff last fall has been convicted.  Thirty two year old James Walsh pleaded no contest to operating a firearm while intoxicated and disorderly conduct.  Charges of recklessly endangering safety and battery were dismissed.  Judge Dale English ordered a three year withheld prison sentence and five months in the county jail.  Last October Fond du lac County Sheriff’s deputies responded  after […]
