GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Children across Wisconsin are heading back to school.  Public safety officials are reminding motorists to be on the lookout for children boarding or exiting school buses. The state Department of Workforce Development says Best Buy in Fond du Lac is closing.  DWD says aproximately 59 employees will be affected by the closing of the store on N. A Fond du Lac County war hero who was killed in action is finally getting the recognition he deserves. Congressman Glenn Grothman presented certificates for the Silver Star award to Eugene Burg on behalf of his deceased uncle, Staff Sergeant Herman Burg, of Mt. 8-31-15 markesan man sentenced in bomb scare case

A Markesan man convicted of making bomb threats and violating restrictions of being a sex offender is going to prison. At a sentencing hearing Friday, Dodge County Circuit Court Judge Steven Bauer sentenced 33 year old Aaron Schreiber to two and a half years in prison and two and a half years extended supervision, as well as a withheld seven and a half years probation.
