Prices at the pump remain up across the Great Lakes region because of the unexpected, partial shutdown of a large Indiana oil refinery.  Wisconsin AAA spokesman Nick Jarmuscz says prices are up across the state. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance says property values statewide have risen for a second year.  The report released Wednesday shows values of all taxable property increased 2.4 percent in 2015. Values went up 2.6 percent in 2014 after five years of decline.  The Taxpayers Alliance says the total value of property at just under $491 billion is still about $25 billion below the 2008 peak.  Of the […]

(AP) — Kraft Heinz's plan to cut hundreds of jobs includes dozens of nonunion positions in Madison.  The company has notified state labor officials that 165 jobs will be eliminated at the Oscar Mayer plant.  Kraft Heinz said Wednesday it's cutting about 2,500 jobs as part of its plan to slash costs after the food companies combined.
