MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker is seeking a federal disaster designation for three Wisconsin counties where farmers lost nearly a third of their ginseng crop this spring.  Walker's office on Tuesday asked U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack for the designation for Langlade, Lincoln and Marathon counties. The just-finalized Clean Power Plan from the Environmental Protection Agency places the first-ever limits on dangerous carbon pollution emissions from existing power plants, which the agency says will curb climate-change pollution and protect public health. 8-11-15 bullying report

A new report shows there were nearly 240 reports of bullying in the Fond du Lac School District last school year.  The annual Climate Report says there were 46 bullying incidents at the elementary level, 150 at the Middle Schools and 41 at Fond du Lac High School.  Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says a separate survey found 10 percent of 8th, 10th and 11th graders said they did not attend […]

8-11-15 new assistant principal at fondy high

Fond du Lac High School has a new assistant principal.  The Fond du Lac School Board has approved the hiring of Kevin Krutzik to the post.  Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says Krutzik comes to Fond du Lac from Oshkosh where he was the principal at Lourdes Academy and before that taught in the Manitowac School District.  Kritzik replaces Anthony Pizzo who accepted a position in Pewaukee.

8-11-15 residential fire cause listed as “undetermined”

The cause of a fire last week that damaged a Fond du lac home will be listed as undetermined.  Firefighters were called to  111 West McWilliams Street and found fire and smoke coming from the upstairs window of the home.  The fire was extinguished quickly, but not before the upstairs suffered heavy fire and smoke damage.  Assistant chief of fire prevention Troy Haase says at this point fire investigators are […]
