8-1-15 arrests made in fdl gas station robbery

Three people have been arrested  in connection with the armed robbery of a gas station-convenience store south of Fond du lac.  The Highway 151 Mobile station was robbed on Thursday July 23rd.  Sheriff’s Lieutenant Cameron McGee says two 31 yearold men and a 23 year old woman were taken into custody Thursday  during the execution of a search warrant at a Rose Avenue residence.  McGee says investigators are also trying to […]

A Menasha man is charged in connection with an armed robbery in Ripon.    Bail was set at $2000 cash for 18 year old Tristan Van Eperen on a charge of party to the crime of armed robbery and receiving stolen property.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 6th.  According to the criminal complaint on July 22nd  Van Eperen and another man robbed a Ripon man at gunpoint using a […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A new report has uncovered hundreds of accessibility problems for the disabled at Wisconsin voting sites. The state Government Accountability Board conducted inspections at 808 sites over the past seven elections and found nearly 4,000 accessibility problems. The GAB's report said 42 percent of the violations were serious enough that they could prevent a disabled voter from casting a private and independent ballot.

Business Facilities magazine, has ranked Fond du Lac County  ninth in the nation for advanced manufacturing specialization. No other Wisconsin metro was ranked in the top 10.  FCEDC president Steve Jenkins says this was a new category for the 11th annual ranking by Business Facilities because of the growing importance of advanced manufacturing to the national economy. (AP) — New federal filings show a super PAC supporting Governor Scott Walker's bid for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination has raised a little more than $20 million over the first 11 weeks or so of its existence. Filings released Friday show Unintimidated PAC raised $20.02 million between April 16th, when Walker's former campaign managers formed it, and June 30th.

Scott Walker has tapped his chief attorney to serve as a state appeals court judge.  Walker announced Friday that he had appointed Brian Hagedorn to replace Judge Richard Brown on the 2nd District Court of Appeals.
