MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A final tally shows a tornado that struck the UW-Platteville campus nearly a year ago caused $18.6 million in damage.  The school released the final damage numbers on Tuesday.  The tornado hit the campus on June 16, 2014, breaking windows, destroying roofs, downing trees and bending light towers at the sports stadium.  It went from 620 down to one winner: Chapter 52.  Kathy Dreifuerst wins the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Name the Bookstore contest with her entry she said was inspired by great art galleries.  Dreifuerst submitted eight name suggestions in the contest to rename the library’s BookCellar. 6-2-15 markesan man convicted of making bomb threats

A Markesan man has been convicted in Dodge County of making bomb threats and violating restrictions of being a sex offender. 32 year old Aaron Schreiber entered an Alford Plea Friday in Dodge County Circuit Court to five counts of making a bomb scare, three counts of a child sex offender working with children, and four counts of bail jumping. Judge Steven Bauer accepted the plea and found Schreiber guilty. […]
