Fond du Lac County officials are reacting with shock and anger over a federal court judge’s ruling halting the Highway 23 expansion project between Fond du Lac and Sheboygan. The local unemployment rate is down in the latest reporting period. The city of Fond du Lac’s jobless rate fell from five percent in March to 4.2 percent in April. The Fond du Lac County unemployment rate stands at 3.8 percent, down from 4.8 percent in March. In Dodge County the unemployment rate fell from 5.6 to 4.2 percent in April.
