OSWEGO, N.Y. (AP) — A 690-foot freighter that replaced the ill-fated Edmund Fitzgerald as the flagship of a Great Lakes shipping company will be scrapped.  The American Fortitude spent the winter docked at the Port of Oswego, on Lake Ontario in central New York. A Waupun Correctional Institution inmate faces attempted homicide charges after he allegedly tried to kill another inmate and injured a correctional officer. 28 year old Eric Conner is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide and battery by prisoners. (AP) — Republicans have quietly introduced three bills that would require food stamp users to buy healthy food and applicants for state job training programs and unemployment benefits in certain fields to undergo drug screening.  Rep.
