The state Assembly has approved a bill that would green light increasing the state speed limit to 70 mph on some highways and freeways. Rep. Firefighters from seven area departments helped battle a fire fueled by strong winds that destroyed a vacant building in the town of Lomira Tuesday. Firefighters were called to a vacant structure behind ProBuild, a building materials business on Highway 49. Fire investigators say it appears the fire was started by high winds that stoked embers from a controlled burn on the property a day before.
