MILWAUKEE (AP) — A former University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh student has pleaded guilty to possession of ricin.  Kyle Allen Smith, 21, of Oshkosh, admitted growing castor beans and extracting ricin, a toxin, in his plea Thursday, the Department of Justice announced. The Fond du Lac city council has approved purchasing a building for a library expansion project..  At their meeting Wednesday night the council approved  a resolution amending the budget to spend $270,000 for the purchase of the building directly east of the library  on Sheboygan Street.  Library director Jon Mark Bolthouse says the first phase would involve moving the Book Cellar from the library basement to the new building.  The […]

The Fond du Lac city council has voted to lift parking restrictions on 15th Street between Main Street and Park Avenue.  The restrictions were in place during street reconstruction last year and allow parking on just one side of the street.  City Engineer Paul De Vries said the street was widened to the standard width of 32 feet — wide enough to support parking on both sides of the street.
