2-16-15 former mayville man convicted of stalking beaver dam woman

A former Mayville man has been convicted of  stalking a Beaver Dam woman and threatening to kill her. Fifty four year old, Leroy Stalker, of Watertown pleaded no contest plea to stalking this week in Dodge County Circuit Court.  Judge Steve Bauer withheld a prison sentence and placed Stalker on three years probation with orders to have no contact with the woman or her children and to undergo counseling. Green Lake County authorities continue to look for the individuals responsible for damaging multiple headstones in a Berlin cemetery, and have increased the award for information. A Mayville woman has entered into a deferred prosecution agreement after entering a no contest plea to charges related to taking more than 15 thousand dollars from a Mayville store where she was an employee.  42 year old Kathy Dankert entered the Alford plea to charges of theft in a business setting and theft of moveable property  in Dodge County Circuit Court.  She was accused of stealing the money when she worked […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Sen. Tammy Baldwin is asking the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate three deaths and reports of prescription drug abuse at the Tomah Veterans Affairs Medical Center.  In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, Baldwin says the seriousness of the allegations warrant a review by a law enforcement agency independent from the Department of Veterans Affairs.  The medical center is currently being investigated by the […]

2-14-15 waupun shed fire quickly extinguished

Firefighters quickly extinguished a shed fire north of Waupun Friday afternoon.  Shortly after 2pm firefighters from Alto, Brandon and Waupun were called to the scene at W12139  Hemp Road near Highway 49 for a report of a shed next to a house in flames.  The fire was out in about a half hour.  There were no injuries.

2-14-15 hwy 41 accident south of fdl backs up traffic

No injuries reported in a two vehicle accident on Highway 41 south of Fond du Lac Friday.  Rescue personnel were called to the scene in the northbound lanes of Highway 41 near County Highway F.  The accident resulted in a minor traffic back-up in the northbound lanes of 41.

2-14-14 fire in town of kewaskum kills two pet dogs

Two dogs were killed, but no people were injured as the result of a house fire in Washington County this week.  Firefighters responded to a house fire at 8210 Kettleview Drive in the Town of Kewaskum. Sheriff’s deputies as well as fire personnel from Kewaskum, Boltonville and West Bend responded and were on scene for approximately three hours.
