2-13-15 cats euthanized

More than half of the cats removed from a Campbellsport area trailer home last month have been euthanized.  Fond du Lac animal shelter Manager Renee Webb tells WFDL news  25 of the 39 cats removed from the residence have been put down.  Webb says the 14 surving cats and a dog continue to recover at the shelter. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A new analysis by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction estimates how much money schools across the state could lose under Gov. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin exports reached an all-time high in 2014, up 1.4 percent from the previous year.  Gov. Scott Walker announced the latest figures on Thursday. He says Wisconsin businesses exported nearly $23.5 billion in good worldwide last year, up by more than 18 percent from four years ago. (AP) — The Wisconsin Assembly has approved a bill that would allow grocery stores to hand out sample mini-shots of liquor.  The bipartisan measure would allow retailers with liquor licenses to provide customers with one half-ounce of booze, the equivalent of a third of a shot. 2-12-15 sheboygan man accused of vandalizing brandon veterans memorial

2-12-15 new fish cleaning station planned for columbia park

The Fond du Lac County parks director says a new fish cleaning station will be a welcome improvement at Columbia Park…just north of Fond du Lac on Lake Winnebago.  The Fond du Lac County board has authorized the county to apply for a DNR grant to pay for half of the $90,000 project.  Parks director Sam Tobias says the facility will be a 10 by 20 foot open air shelter.
