The Fond du Lac City Council has given the city manager a favorable review.  City Council president Sam Meyer says the council rated city manager Joe Moore’s performace 4.81 on a scale from one to five to measure 15 different elements of performance and leadership.  Meyer says the Council found the City Manager's community relations, communication skills,  cooperation, dependability, professional attitude and professional conduct to be outstanding.

2-6-15 eden man convicted of attacking sheriff’s deputy

An Eden man has been convicted of attacking and  trying to disarm a sheriff’s deputy.  Twenty two year old Colton Obrien pleaded no contest to multiple charges including attempting to disarm a peace officer.  A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.   Obrien is accused of punching the deputy and trying to grab his service revolver during a scuffle.  Nineteen year old Tanner Gremminger is accused of pointing the deputy’s Taser at […]

2-6-15 intoxicated man causes problems at fdl businesses

An intoxicated Minnesota man is accused of causing a disturbance at two Fond du Lac businesses.  Jon Clennon made his initial Fond du lac court appearance this week on charges of disorderly conduct and bail jumping.  He is accused of grabbing a customer and threatening to shoot other customers at Family Video and Marco’s Pizza.  Police say Clennon had a blood alcohol content of .31 percent, nearly four times the […]

The University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac has named its 2014-15 Kaplan Award recipients.  This award recognizes individuals or teams for significant and innovative improvement in instruction and/or service to students.
