A California apple packing plant has been identified as the likely source of contamination in caramel apples that led to a multi-state outbreak of listeriosis, according to food safety officials at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP). A Waupun man involved in a nearly six hour armed standoff in Waupun has been charged.   Kenneth Becker Jr. made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance Thursday  and bail was set at $20,000 cash with conditions not to possess any firearms or have any contact with his ex-girlfriend.   But Becker refused to sign the bond form so he is being held in jail without bond.  According to a […]
