1-8-15 milwaukee man convicted in fdl county armed robbery

A Milwaukee man arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Fond du lac County a little more than a year ago has reached a plea agreement.   Dominic Cloyd  pleaded no contest to amended charges of party to the crime of robbery with a threat of force,  theft and disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon.  A fourth count was dismissed and read into the record.  Cloyd is one of three […]

1-8-15 fdl man convicted of videotaping girl in the shower

A Fond du Lac man has been placed on probation with conditional jail time for videotaping a 12 year old girl in the shower.   Twenty nine year old Bryan Schaefer pleaded no contest to capturing nudity and invasion of privacy with a surveillance device.  Judge Robert Wirtz placed Schaefer on probation for two years with six months in jail.

1-7-15 fire damages town of eldorado home

Fire damaged a home in the Fond du Lac County town of Eldorado.  Firefighters were called to the scene at N7697 County Highway C Tuesday afternoon.  When firefighters arrived flames and smoke were visible from the roof.  The fire appears to have started near a wood burning stove causing damage to the kitchen, dining area and roof.  Nobody was injured.

1-7-15 dozens of cats removed from campbellsport area trailer home

A Fond du lac County woman was transported to the hospital and nearly 40 cats were removed from a Campbellsport area trailer home.   Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says conditions in the trailer on County Aire Drive were described by officers on the scene as horrific with feces and urine everywhere.  "The initial call didn't sound as concerning as it ended up actually being,"  Olig told WFDL news.  "Having a […]

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has updated its list of heating centers around the state for people to get out of the dangerous cold. 1-7-15 road service calls up

Tow trucks have been busy helping stranded motorists this week.  State Triple A spokesman Nick Jarmuscz says calls for service are up significantly.  "I know yesterday we handled well over a thousand calls which is higher than normal,"  Jarmuscz told WFDL news.  "We are definately getting a lot of calls from throughout the state."  Jarmuscz says most of the calls are for dead batteries.  He says the cold weather is […]
