12-3-14 fdl salvation army red kettle volunteers needed

The Fond du Lac Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help with the annual Red Kettle fundraising campaign.  Salvation Army social services director Ron Jacobson says there are currently 191 volunteers ringing bells at 19 locations and more volunteers are needed.  Jacobson says the goal is to raise $145,000. Jacobson says there are a lot of families in need this holiday season.

Fond du Lac City Council President Sam Meyer will not seek re-election in April.   Meyer filed a notice of non-candidacy with the city clerk’s office on Monday saying he wants to spend more time with his family.
