MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Official results show that turnout in last month's election in Wisconsin was just shy of 55 percent of the voting-age population. The final numbers show that just over 2.4 million people voted in the governor's race in which Scott Walker won a second term over Democratic challenger Mary Burke. That is the highest turnout for a midterm governor's election since at least 1950.

The state Department of Workforce Development says the City of Fond du lac jobless rate fell two tenths of a percent to five percent in October. The unemployment rate for Fond du Lac County stands at 4.3 percent…down from 4.4 percent in September. In Dodge County the unemployment rate slipped from five percent to 4.9 percent.
