MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is reminding deer hunters their caps must be at least 50 percent blaze orange. The DNR says wardens sometimes come across hunters with caps that don't meet the requirement and others with faded orange caps. Officials say wardens will be carrying orange knit hats to give out to hunters when the 2014 gun season starts on Saturday.

11-17-14 fdl man bound over for trial in armed domestic standoff case

A Fond du Lac man involved in an armed domestic standoff last month has been bound over for trial. Thirty one year old James Walsh waived his preliminary hearing Friday in Fond du Lac County Circuit court.  Walsh is charged with first degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, misdemeanor battery-domestic abuse and disorderly conduct-domestic abuse.  He is free after posting $16,000 cash bond.  Nobody was injured […]
