4-12-24 opioid settlement funds

4-12-24 governor evers says he doesn’t plan to use national guard to help with prison staffing shortage

4-11-24 fire destroys 30 acres of marshland

Nobody was injured in a marsh fire in Fond du Lac County. The fire in the area of Lakeshore Drive and cemetery Road started as a controlled burn and spread to a nearby marsh. Firefighters worked to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby tree line. The fire burned approximately 30 acres of marsh land. No structures were damaged.  Fire danger in the area is listed as high.

4-11-24 fdl county kitchen fire

Nobody was injured in a kitchen fire in Fond du Lac County. Wednesday afternoon firefighters from 10 departments were called to the Gail Johnson residence on Highway G for a fire that started in an oven. The fire was contained to the kitchen but there was smoke damage throughout the house.
