The Fond du Lac Fire Department has received a donation from Koch Pipeline Company, L.P. Koch Pipeline donated approximately $50,000 in hazardous material equipment. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A group of scientists are warning federal wildlife officials that the state Department of Natural Resources' wolf population estimates are faulty. The researchers from UW-Madison sent a letter to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service last month saying the DNR under-reported the 2012 to 2013 wolf mortality rate and hasn't factored in how hunting wolves with hounds will affect the overall population.
WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) — A 68-year-old Dorchester farmer faces felony animal mistreatment charges for allegedly killing eight puppies with a sledgehammer. Terrence Seubert was charged in Marathon County with eight felony counts of mistreatment of animals causing death.
