4-3-24 randolph man involved in rollover crash arrested for owi

The driver of a vehicle involved in a rollover crash in Dodge County has been arrested for drunken driving.   Twenty year old Preston Schraufnagel of rural Randolph was seriously injured in the crash Monday afternoon on state Highway 60 east of Columbus.  A preliminary investigation shows a pickup was eastbound on 60 when Schraufnagel  failed to negotiate a curve, overcorrected, and lost control of the vehicle before it overturned.  He was transported to […]

4-3-24 last survivor of uss arizona from pearl harbor attack dies at 102

HONOLULU (AP) — Lou Conter, the last living survivor of the USS Arizona battleship that exploded and sank during the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, has died. He was 102.  Conter passed away on Monday at his home in Grass Valley, California, following congestive heart failure, his daughter, Louann Daley said, adding she was beside him along with two of her brothers, James and Jeff.  The Arizona lost 1,177 sailors and Marines […]

The American Cancer Society estimates that nearly 153,000 people in the United States will be diagnosed this year with colorectal cancer, and 53,000 will die from the disease.  Dr. Richard Rosenberg is a gastroenterologist with SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic.  Dr. Rosenberg says colorectal cancer may not cause any symptoms, especially in its early stages, but is highly treatable if caught early.  He says that's why screening is important.  […]
