8-26-14 strong winds knock out power in waupun

Thunderstorms packing strong winds knocked down tree limbss and power lines in Waupun Monday causing some power outages.  Waupun utilities say more than two dozen trees sustained major damage.  Tree limbs across the street blocked traffic on Watertown and Taylor Streets.  More than two dozen customers were without power for several hours.

8-26-14 fatal crash victim identified

Authorities have released the name of the Waupun man killed in a crash over the weekend on Highway 26 south of Waupun.  Investigators say 58 year old Richard Johnson was killed in the crash.  The State Patrol says Johnson, was southbound on 26 when he crossed the center line striking a northbound vehicle head-on.  The driver of the northbound car, a 16 year old girl from Illinois suffered life threatening […]

(AP) — A Wisconsin-based furniture manufacturer has been approved for a $6 million tax credit even though it plans to lay off half its workforce in the state.  The  Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. board quietly approved the tax credit for Ashley Furniture Industries.
