8-11-14 christenson named new green lake county da

An assistant district attorney in the Fond du Lac County DA’s Office has been named the new Green Lake County DA.  Gov. Scott Walker has appointed Fond du Lac County Assistant District Attorney Andrew Christenson to the post.  He will replace outgoing District Attorney Kyle Sargent. Christenson has served in the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office since 2008.

More than a half-million people from 69 different countries attended the E-A-A AirVenture show in Oshkosh this year. Federal Grants For At Risk Youth

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin and Minnesota have received federal grants to help provide academic and work-skills training for at-risk youth.The U.S. Department of Labor announced the YouthBuild grants Wednesday. Wisconsin is getting a total of $3.5 million to support four programs, and a St. Paul group is getting $768,000.YouthBuild is an alternative-education program that provides classroom instruction and work-skills training. MILWAUKEE (AP) — An energy delivery company has asked Wisconsin officials to approve the construction of a 14-mile oil pipeline in the northern part of the state.The request made by Enbridge Energy would represent the final piece of its 610-mile project.
