The local unemployment rate is up slightly in the latest reporting  period.  The state Department of Workforce Development says the city of Fond du Lac’s unemployment rate in June stands at 6.5 percent.  That’s up from six percent in May.   The June jobless rate in Fond du Lac County is up four tenths of a percent to 5.6 percent.  In Dodge County the unemployment rate increased from 5.8 percent […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker in a dead heat with Democratic challenger Mary Burke.  The poll released Wednesday showed Walker with 46 percent among registered voters, compared with 45 percent for Burke.
