7-15-14 suspects in sheriff’s deputy assault make court appearance

Bail has been set at $20,000 cash each for two Fond du lac County men accused of trying to disarm a sheriff’s deputy.  Twenty two year old Colton Obrien of Eden and 19 year old Tanner Gremminger of rural Campbellsport made their initial Fond du Lac court appearances Monday.  Preliminary hearings for both men are scheduled for July 24th.   Obrien is accused of punching the sheriff’s deputy and trying to grab his service revolver during […]

7-15-14 registered sex offenders-dodge county

Eleven registered sex offenders face possible charges in Dodge county following a recent compliance check conducted by the sheriff’s office and U.S. Marshals Services.  Sheriff Pat Ninmann says in person compliance checks of 149 sex offenders within Dodge County began July 7th.  Ninmann says 138 were located and found to be in compliance.  Offenders are required to provide current, up-to-date, personal information to include an accurate address and place of employment.  Failing to comply with […]

The Fond du Lac animal shelter manager says an incident involving an abandoned puppy near Oshkosh brings back memories of an incident in Fond du lac earlier this year.  Oshkosh police say surveillance cameras captured images of a man leaving a Highway 41 truck stop where an injured two-week-old pup was found in a plastic bag last  week.  The Oshkosh Area Humane Society is caring for the animal, which needs surgery.  Fond du Lac […]

7-15-14 historic tax credit moratorium to be partially lifted

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A federal appeals court in Chicago will hear arguments in challenges of gay marriage bans in Wisconsin and Indiana's on Aug. 13.  Federal judges in both states have struck down the bans as unconstitutional.
