7-11-14 body of missing fisherman recovered

TOWN OF WINNECONNE, Wis. (AP) — The body of a missing fisherman has been recovered from a lake in Winnebago County.  The body of 52-year-old Roger Inderdahl was found near the east shore of Lake Winneconne Wednesday night. The Weyawega  man had been missing since Monday when he went fishing. His empty boat was later found running in circles on the lake.

7-11-14 same sex marriage

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin has appealed a federal judge's ruling from last month striking down the state's ban on same-sex marriages. Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen filed the appeal today. The judge ruled on June 6th that the ban was a violation of gay couples' equal protection and due process rights. More than 500 gay couples got married in the state before the judge put her ruling on hold.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen says the state elections board does not have to turn over its investigative records to auditors.  Van Hollen said in a Thursday legal opinion that the Government Accountability Board does not have to provide investigative records to the Legislative Audit Bureau. After missing for almost nine months, Ronald McDonald is back in Ripon.
