The Blood Center of Wisconsin is making a plea for Fond du lac area residents to donate blood. Blood drives are being held in Fond du Lac and Campbellsport over the next couple of weeks. Over 40 bronze markers were taken from the graves of veterans buried at a cemetery in Dodge County. On Monday, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by a cemetery caretaker reporting the theft of the markers at Oakwood Cemetary near Beaver Dam. It’s believed the markers were stolen sometime over the weekend. Anyone with information should contact the Sheriff’s Department at 386-3726.
Fond du Lac police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect in a child enticement incident. Police lieutenant Jason Lariden says the incident happened Sunday night when a man, described as being in his 50s, allegedly exposed himself to two children at Taylor Park. Lariden says police have stepped up enforcement in the area…but still have no suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
The Fond du Lac Fire Chief says a fire Tuesday that damaged a Fond du lac apartment complex started in the closet of one of the units. Four people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and one person was transported to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation following the fire at 180 North Butler Street.
