MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Department of Natural Resources has hired 11 new wildlife technicians.  The workers will be stationed around the state. APPLETON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin road deaths are on the decline again in 2014.   215 people have died in traffic crashes as of June 30, compared to 226 on the same date in 2013.  Last year 527 people died on Wisconsin's roadways, a major decline from the 601 fatalities in 2012.  Donald Lyden, safety research analyst with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, attributed the decline to improvements and upgrades to […]

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Four Milwaukee Brewers are headed to baseball's All-Star game. Aramis Ramirez, Carlos Gomez, Jonathan Lucroy and Francisco Rodriguez will represent the National League at next week's game in Minneapolis. Ramirez will start the game at third base and Gomez is one of three National League starting outfielders.

The Fond du Lac County Public Health Office says now is the time of year when  residents should be alert for blue-green algae blooms on Lake Winnebago.   Public Health Officer, Kim Mueller, says the algae has not been reported in Fond du Lac County yet…but has been found near Oshkosh.
