3-7-24 fdl psychiatrist convicted of illegally distributing controlled substances

A psychiatrist and licensed nurse from Fond du Lac has been convicted of  illegally distributing controlled substances.  Seventy seven year old John Whelan faces up to four years in prison and three years extended supervision after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute controlled  substances and lying to federal agents.  The U.S. Attorney's Eastern District of Wisconsin office says Whelan and another nurse prescribed controlled substances outside their professional  practice from a home in Fond […]

3-6-24 dodge county injury crash

Two people were injured, one critically, in a two vehicle crash in Dodge County.  The crash happened shortly after 4pm Tuesday on Highway 151 at County Highway DE.  A preliminary investigation shows a car was eastbound on DE when it attempted to cross over 151 and was struck by an SUV.  The car driver, a 76 year old Fall River man, was flown by helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison with life-threatening injuries.  The SUV […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democratic Gov. Tony Evers has signed a Republican-authored bill that expands Wisconsin's child care tax credit. Evers signed the bill Monday after vetoing three other GOP-authored tax cut proposals on Friday.
