2-14-24 fdl police investigating suspicious death

Fond du Lac police are calling the death of a woman involved in a traffic crash suspicious.  Shortly before 6:30pm Tuesday rescue personnel responded to a crash in the area of West Follett and North Main Street. The driver, a 33 year old woman, was found slumped over the steering wheel and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. A three year old passenger was not injured. 2-14-24 rasch appointed new waupun police chief

Waupun interim police chief Jeremy Rasch has been hired as chief.  The Waupun Police and Fire commission made the appointment by unanimous decision. Rasch has served in the department for more than 20 years and has been the deputy chief since 2017. He has been the interim chief since Scott Louden resigned in December.  Rasch will be sworn into office Monday.

2-14-24 two beaver dam firefighters injured in airboat crash released from hospital

Two Beaver Dam firefighters injured in an airboat crash on Beaver Dam Lake have been released  from the hospital and a third remains hospitalized.  The crash happened shortly after 7:30pm Monday while the Department was conducting ice rescue  training on Beaver Dam Lake near Grape Island.  During the training, a fire department hovercraft struck the island and injured three Firefighters on board.   All three Firefighters were treated on scene by Beaver Dam Paramedics […]
