1-23-24 fdl county sheriff’s office warns of inconsistent ice conditions on area lakes

1-22-24 fire causes significant damage to attached garage, home in waupun

Nobody was injured in a fire that significantly damaged an attached garage and home in Waupun.  Shortly before 8:30pm Saturday firefighters were called to the Doug and Deb Darnick home at 501 S. West Street to find a vehicle inside the garage on fire.   The occupants were able to safely escape before firefighters arrived.  The home is uninhabitable.  The fire is believed to have started in the vehicle's engine compartment.
