12-2-23 victims of fatal head on collision in dodge county identified

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has identified the victims of a fatal head on collision on Interstate 41 this week.   But Sheriff Dale Schmidt says 82 year old Grace Campagna from Campbellsport died when her vehicle collided head on with a car driven by 34 year old Ying Vang of Oshkosh.  Campagna and Vang were pronounced dead at the scene.  Investigators say Campagna was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of 41 near Highway 67 […]

12-1-23 university of minnesota duluth senior defensive lineman dies of genetic heart condition

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Reed Ryan, a senior defensive lineman at the University of Minnesota Duluth, has died of a genetic heart condition, his family says.  Ryan, who was 22, died Tuesday at a Duluth hospital. His obituary said he went into cardiac arrest one week earlier following a football team workout in the weight room. Wisconsin christmas tree growers continue to thrive despite challenges.  State Christmas Tree Producers Association spokesman Greg Hann says he thinks it's going to be another strong year with strong sales.  Hann says christmas tree growers have adapted to unusual weather patterns, such as this summer's drought, by changing industry common practices.  Hann says the industry also naturally adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic and has been thriving since.
