11-10-23 fdl city council adopts budget

The Fond du Lac city council has adopted the 2024 city budget.   City manager Joe Moore says the budget includes a decrease in the tax rate.  Moore says the big ticket item in the budget is a multi-million dollar bio-solids dryer at the wastewater treatment plant.  Moore says several street projects are also included in the budget.

11-10-23 dodge county sheriff’s office receives public safety grant

On October 31, 2023, Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt received notification that Dodge County has been awarded a grant totaling $375,470.15 from the State of Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs. This cost covers 90% of the funding for an upgrade to the sheriff’s office Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP),  commonly known as the dispatch center. 11-9-23 fdl man sentenced to life in prison for fatal shooting

A Fond du Lac man convicted in the shooting death of a Fond du Lac man has been sentenced to life in prison.   Fond du Lac County Circuit judge Anthony Nehls sentenced 23 year old Julius Freeman Jr. to life in prison with the possibility of release to extended supervision after 35 years.  Freeman was found guilty in July of party to the crime of  first degree intentional homicide in the October 2021 death […]
