MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin environmental officials have released a survey that found 71% of samples from shallow private wells were contaminated with PFAS chemicals. The Department of Natural Resources, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the state hygiene laboratory conducted the survey in the summer and fall of 2022.
