Nobody was injured in a fire that signficantly damaged a Fond du Lac home.  Shortly before 3am Monday firefighters were called to a report of a fire at 130 West Division Street and upon arrival found heavy smoke and fire in the kitchen area.  The fire was quickly extinguished, but not before it caused extensive damage to the home.  Three pet dogs and a bunny were rescued from the home.  Two children were sleeping upstairs […]

Authorities are continuing to investigate the death of an inmate at the Waupun Correctional  Institution.   The state Department of Corrections has identified the inmate as Cameron Williams.  A DOC spokesman says Williams was found dead in the prison's segregation unit Monday, October 30.  The spokesperson told WFDL news no other details were being released at this time.

No injuries were reported and a suspect wanted by police is in custody following an incident in Dodge County.  Shortly after 2pm Friday a state patrol trooper in Lomira located a vehicle and two suspects involved in a serious crime in Appleton.  The suspects attempted to flee and entered a Lomira business.   It was believed at least one of the suspects had been armed with a firearm.  As troopers and deputies responded, one […]

GRAFTON, Ind. (AP) — A sheriff says a suburban Milwaukee sheriff’s deputy has shot and killed an armed suspect they were trying to arrest for outstanding felony warrants. Ozaukee County Sheriff Christy Knowles says that after deputies tried to pull the suspect over Thursday, the person fled in their vehicle.
