10-20-23 winning powerball ticket sold in fdl

A winning $100,000 Powerball ticket was sold in Fond du Lac for Wednesday's drawing.  The winning ticket was sold at the North Main Street Kwik Trip.  The  winning Powerball ticket matched four of five numbers (1-4-13-35-58) plus the Powerball (24).  Because the ticket included the $1 Power Play for an additional $1, a $50,000 prize increased to $100,000 when the 2X multiplier was drawn.

10-20-23 statewide unemployment rate up

The statewide unemployment rate was up slightly last month, but still below the national average.  Wisconsin's unemployment rate for September was 3.1 percent, up from 2.9 percent in August, but below the national unemployment rate of 3.8 percent.  The state Department of Worforce Development says Wisconsin's total non-farm jobs hit another record high of slightly over 3 million.  The total labor force grew by 5,400 and employment decreased by 1,800 over the previous month.
