Fond du Lac Public Works is notifying motorists of traffic lane closures on East Johnson Street between National Avenue and Prairie Avenue.  Starting Wednesday, August 9th the westbound lanes  on Johnson Street will be closed until Wednesday, August 16th, followed by the eastbound lanes which will be closed until Wednesday, August 23.   The closures will  allow a private contractor to complete utility excavation and restoration at Moraine Park Technical College.  A signed detour will be south […]

Fond du Lac County is hosting a Kids competition at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Park.   Activities will include a three-leg race, egg and spoon race, and potato sack race, tennis ball throw and prizes for the winners.  The event will be held from 10am to noon , Thursday August 10th.

A Fond du Lac firefighter has been placed on paid administrative leave following his arrest on possession of child pornography charges.  Edgar Ramirez-Tellez faces 10 counts of possession of child pornography.   Bail was set at $500,000 cash.  According to a criminal complaint investigators  found images and videos of children engaged in sexually explicit activities on his cellphone.   Ramirez admitted to possessing the photos and videos and told investigators that he […]
