7-28-23 fdl man convicted of battery to a police officer sentenced to prison

A Fond du Lac man convicted of violently attacking a police officer is going to prison.  Fond du Lac County Circuit Judge Laura Lavey sentenced Jayson Keniston to 14 years in prison followed by 15 years extended supervision.  Keniston was earlier convicted of  multiple charges including Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer.   The incident occured in January 2022 when a Fond du Lac police officer responded to a residence for a disorderly conduct complaint. 7-28-23 gofundme page started for family displaced by fire

A GoFundMe account has been established for a Fond du Lac family displaced this week by a fire.  The Freund family is staying at a hotel following a basement fire Tuesday that caused extensive damage to their basement and smoke damage throughout their home.   According to the GoFundMe page the family of four will be displaced for the next six months and will have to replace items destroyed by the fire.
